The Cost Of Doing Business

By July 9, 2019Blogposts

Mail outs, print ads, radio… you’ve tried some of the old standbys and yet business remains stagnant.  Your competition is gaining traction that you’re envious of.  You hope that your clientele will remain loyal, despite the allure of greener pastures.

In today’s world, the consumer thinks differently.  We get information at our fingertips, and we’re symbiotic with our technology.  It’s not only a tool for us, it’s become a part of us!

Social media has made the world a smaller place.  It’s given the ambitious and the creative a cheat code in the algorithm of marketing.  Exposure that would once be exclusive to the Fortune 500, is now available to the home based businesses and startups.  It’s inexcusable for entrepreneurs to not have digital versions portfolios for the public to view.  It’s negligible for anyone selling a product, service or brand to not be showcasing online.

It’s no secret that there are workshops available and fantastic apps at our disposal to assist with all of this.  But for some, the task is just too daunting and either we don’t know where to start, or we don’t have the time or patience for it.

This shouldn’t preclude us from entering the fold and becoming more marketable.  Sometimes, it’s an acceptable— and necessary— business cost.

The quoted amount shouldn’t deter you.  In fact, you should focus less on the cost of a marketing plan, and more on the cost of not having one.

If you were to quantify an extra client, how much would that client be worth to you?  What about client retention, so that you could avoid  the loss of existing business to competition?  Would either exceed the cost or a marketing plan?  The rhetoric substantiates the need to do something.

Your business deserves an enhanced public image.  A logo, marketing materials, a website, advertising, and a presence on social media platforms.  In addition to that, you should have the same presence.  People are drawn to transparency.  We like to know who we’re doing business with and if we buy into the people behind the product, service, or brand, we will certainly buy into whatever it is that they’re selling.

The Mark Consulting has assisted businesses and business entrepreneurs in North America do just that.  It’s not new to us.  This isn’t something we got into because it was trending.  We’re passionate about it.  Our clients have chosen to work with us because they felt we were the best, and would make them better.  We want to work with others that we believe in, and at the end of the day, we take pride in knowing that we may have played at least a small part in their growth and future successes.

They say that if a business isn’t growing, it’s dying.  Marketing is a real business cost, but it’s a cost that can really pay off

If you don’t effectively market your business, know that someone else will be effectively marketing theirs, and you’ll be at risk of losing out on market share.
