New Year, New You

By December 31, 2018Blogposts

It’s that time again, where the classic paradox of enjoyment vs. good choices shows that you’re just days away from 2019.  A gold crumpled Ferrero Rocher wrapper tumbles across your coffee table like the ball in Times Square, as you play the role of Dick Clarke, shouting for another glass of champagne to the person on refill duty.

Ever grateful for sweatpants, your waistline need not know the constraints of the cornucopia of food over the past week… and the days leading up to that week… oh and the Thanksgiving dinner the month before… it’s been awhile since you’ve last had some semblance of discipline for your eating habits and lifestyle choices.

“A day until January 1st,” you jest yourself.  “I’ll make some changes then.”

You won’t.  A quick screen capture of last year’s resolutions on your Facebook page will speak to the fact that you will most likely be back to square one next year at this time- with the exact same aspirations.

It’s paramount that you seek out some help if you’re to make such lofty goals for yourself this 2019.  Dream boards, life coaches, nutritionists, personal trainers, etc… they’re all there for you to reach out to, and there’s simply no shame in asking for guidance.  We all need a push from time to time.

Start with a plan, and then execute.  If you’re reading this, you’re probably already at a computer of phone, so there’s no excuse for you not to start the search for your first point of contact.

You’ve got this.  We want to see you succeed and make 2019 your greatest year yet.

From all of us at The Mark Consulting, have a tremendous New Years, and may all of your resolutions come true.  Just don’t expect them to automatically!
