Why Outsource Social Media Management

By May 27, 2016Blogposts

Social media presence has become more of a compulsory thing than a choice for those in business. Poor or no presence means overlooking a large segment of the market, and foregoing cheap and affordable marketing opportunities.

Many businesses will open Facebook and Twitter accounts, gather a few followers, post once per week and think they are set. Social media is very fluid and dynamic meaning businesses must have the constant eye of their fans and followers. Going at it yourself will have limited success than engaging a social media company. Why?

Experience

If the business is new to social media marketing, the learning curve is very steep with tens of social networks and hundreds of tools to learn about. A social media company is bound to have more experience in utilizing these platforms and tools better than you can.

Time

Unless your business engages one customer per month, you will not have enough time for social media management. Constant engagement is the rule of the social media game. Scheduling posts, generating content, posting to different networks, responding to comments, tweets and so on must be done on an almost daily basis.

Hiring an employee may seem a smart option but considering training costs and remuneration plans, hiring may end up costing more. The turnover rate of employees can also be very disruptive and considering you will most likely be dealing with 20-25 years old, this is bound to happen.

Better focus

Unlike an individual business, a social media company will look at everything with an objective eye. Putting up a social media campaign is about showing your networks the business in whole; history, staff, products, promotions, and so on.

A self-made campaign has lower chances of being successful than one that has been done in consultation with an expert.  Social media companies rely heavily on marketing techniques and without a marketing background, you in way too deep.

More resourceful

Unless a section of your marketing department is fully dedicated to social media, your resources will be inadequate in comparison to a social media company. With dedicated staff, tools and time, a social media company is able to run social media management in a more efficient manner than an individual or business.

There are hundreds of social media tools some free and some paid. You may not have the time to test which delivers the best result but a social media company will have done that. It will be better engaging a social media company than keep paying good money for unsuitable tools.
